Psalm 107:35 He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs

2007We warmly greet you in the name of Jesus Christ! We pray that your visit with us will bless you and meet your needs.

Oasis is a non-denominational full gospel ministry officially born in June of 1993. While attending Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma, the vision of Oasis Ministries began. The rich fellowship and anointed teachings I received helped the vision take form.

At that time Laurie and I were members of Faith Christian Fellowship pastored by Rev. Buddy and Patsy Harrison. As we observed their work together as a ministry team, we were ignited to do the same in God’s Kingdom. Subsequently, we attended Rhema Bible Training Center and graduated in May of 1981. Upon graduation, we were compelled to return to New York. We desired to share our rich experience with the Body of Christ on Long Island. At the appointed time God brought this ministry together. It has been an answer to many prayers (Hab. 2:3). It is through the Rhema Ministerial Association that I am licensed and ordained.

An Oasis is a place in a desert that brings life and blessing. It is a place where parched grounds become pools of water. Doctrines of men and binding traditions have weakened the power of the Spirit in many believers. We seek to pursue the call to bring God’s joy and strength not only to the Body of Christ but to lost humanity as well.

Our call is to be a center for healing, deliverance and spiritual development. We accomplish this best by first meeting God in worship and praise. Our first ministry is worship. From this all other ministries will grow and prosper. We are the temple of God and we are called to show His praises in all the earth. "We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that we may proclaim the praises of him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:9)

May God’s very best come to you and His awesome love overtake you.

God Bless You All!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor John and Laurie Curcio.

The Vision

  1. A center for true Christian worship. (John 4:21-24)
  2. A place for the Church of Jesus Christ to develop in strength and maturity. (Eph. 4)
  3. To reach our cities with the power of the good news.
  4. To acquire a multi-purpose facility to launch various modes of ministry into every man’s world and make disciples of all nations.

What We Believe

  1. The Scriptures Inspired. The Scriptures both Old and New are inspired of God, and are the revelation of God to man. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Thes. 2:13; 2 Pet. 1:21)
  2. The One True God. There is one God the Father Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth. He manifests Himself in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 43:10-11; Matt. 28:1,9; Luke 3:22) Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. (John 1:1; Col 2:9)
  3. The Fall of Man. Man through voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred both spiritual and physical death. (Gen. 3:1-24)
  4. The Salvation of Man. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. Man must be born again through repentance toward God and faith in Christ’s redemptive work. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Rom. 19:13-15; Eph. 2:8; Tit 2:11; Tit. 3:5-7)
  5. The Ordinances of the Church.
Baptism in Water. All who turn to Christ are to be baptized in water. An outward sign of an inward change. (Matt. 28:19; Mark 16; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4)
Communion. A memorial ordinance to remember the death; burial; and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We partake of the bread and fruit of the vine as symbols of His Body and His Blood. (Pet. 1:4; 1 Cor. 11:26; Luke 22:14-23)
  6. Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. This baptism is for all who ask. Tongues are an initial sign of this baptism along with the power to be a witness and sustain a holy life. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; Acts 8:12-17; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 11:14-16; Acts 2:4)
  7. Divine Healing. Divine deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Is. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16; James 5:14-16)
  8. Sanctification. The process by which the Holy Spirit sets apart the believer in purity. God is a Holy God. He wants us like Him. God’s will is our sanctification. (Rom. 6:1-11, 13; Rom. 8:1-2,13; Gal. 2:20; Phil. 2:12-13; 1Pet. 1:5; 1Thes. 5:23)
  9. The Final Judgement. God the Father being a just and true God will judge the wicked at the great white throne judgement. (Rev. 20:11-15) Those who reject His free gift will perish eternally. Those who believe will inherit eternal life and peace. (Jn. 3:16-18; Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev 1:20)
What We Do and Why

    • The Gift of Prophesy. The power to proclaim. To speak to men under the power of the Holy Spirit for their edification, exhortation, and comfort. (ex. Acts 2)
    • The Gift of Tongues and The Interpretation of Tongues. Tongues and interpretation of tongues serve the same purpose as prophecy. Tongues alone serve as a means of personal worship and spiritual edification. (1 Cor. 14)
