Senior Pastor Osakue & first Lady Pastor Marie Akioya

I was born into a traditional Christian family and had an early encounter with the Lord Jesus at the age of 11, this experience though short lived made an indelible impact on my life for good.
Due to ignorance and rebellion I went through a great struggle to keep up with my faith in Christ, this eventually led to several withdrawals and return to the path of truth over a period of time. I finally took solid roots in the Lord in 1993 by God’s gracious hand of restoration, and was called to the ministry 2 years later.
Having undergone a 5 year undergraduate course in Agriculture, my ambition was to pursue my studies to the doctorate level, before considering any form of ministry activity. However, the Lord’s plan was different and my personal pursuit of graduate education led me on a journey outside my country Nigeria which ended in Mali where the Lord led me in collaboration with other English speaking brethren to start a weekly fellowship in English language in 1993. This fellowship eventually became the foundation for the Oasis Gospel Ministries our church, officially registered with the Malian government in 1995.
I married my late wife Brigitte in 1995, who went to be with the Lord in May 2007 after a brief illness. I remarried my present wife Pastor Marie in August 2010, who is my associate pastor to date, and the Lord has blessed us with a beautiful daugther called Zoe, born in October 2011.
So many of the words, visions and prophesies the Lord revealed to me in those years of struggling to stand firm in my commitment to Him, have since been coming to pass in remarkable ways that unveils His power and hand upon my life. The Oasis family God is giving me grace to lead is waxing strong in Mali through our evangelism, church planting, discipleship and holistic ministry efforts. We have sent a missionary couple to France, Nigeria and are preparing other missionary couples for missions in neighboring African countries.
We invite you to join us in our Sunday meetings and weekly activities, so together we can reach our hurting world with the healing gospel of our Lord Jesus.
